Chefs Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee have over 20 years of combined experience in Japanese cuisine and sushi. They established their culinary careers in Houston where they worked together for four years at an award-winning Japanese restaurant.

Pham and Lee teamed up to bring new curated dining concepts to Houston’s food scene and kicked off a series of omakase pop-up dinners called Secret Taste. Pham and Lee recently opened Kokoro in the Bravery Chef Hall in Downtown Houston.

Handies Douzo is the newest concept from a diverse team with experience in restaurants, business, and real estate. Handies Douzo’s menu is focused on chef driven hand rolls and sashimi.

    A NEW WAY TO SUSHI

Our sushi and grill menus allow you to explore your sushi favorites in new and unexpected ways. We like to say that sushi is for sharing, and our menu encourages it. Order a spread of all your maki, nigiri and sashimi favs from the sushi bar, and throw in a few orders of starters from the grill. We’ll stagger your plates so you can savor it all bite-by-bite, and maximize the sushi experience you’ve been craving all week.

If you’re not sure where to start, tour the menu during Happy Hour, where all our guest favorites — from our sushi, grill and drink menus — are available at an amazing value. We offer Happy Hour every day of the week at Blue Sushi Sake Grill!

At Songkran, we value the robust, fresh flavors of traditional Thai cuisine, and deliver extraordinary tastes and textures, whether savory or sweet, in all the dishes we create. We use fresh ingredients— garlic, shrimp paste, thai chilies, lemongrass, galangal, coconut, rhizome, — and meld them together to create a sophisticated, subtle elegance in which every element is in perfect balance. We also grind fresh spices to enhance the clean, light, burst of zest to the food. We prepare everything in-house from scratch and only with the freshest of ingredients. We use fresh lychees, jackfruit, taro root, tapioca, bananas, and mangoes in our desserts.

Kin Dee Thai Cuisine is a truly authentic representation of Thailand through its unique flavors, its ingredients, and overall vision. Focused on made-from-scratch, authentic, and details-oriented cooking procedure. Kin Dee delivers native cuisine exactly like it’s served at the owner’s hometown in Thailand. The 30-dish menu inspired by Lukkaew and Chef Miranda childhood favorite dishes from different regions of Thailand.

The ambiance is a mix of modern and traditional Thai design concepts, boasting an airy feel combined with an urban aesthetic. The beaming interior space serves as a modern tropical eatery, highlighted by a full-wall elephant mural, representative of Thailand’s strength through history. Red hues are seen throughout the restaurant and are inspired by the Thai chili pepper, which is a signature Thai ingredient that is used in several dishes on the Kin Dee menu. The bar seats 14, and the lounge space around the bar offers a laid-back place to relax and is also available to reserve for private events.

  • Green Seed Vegan

    Green Seed Vegan

    4320 Almeda Rd

    Houston, TX 77004

    (844) 365-8346

On the busy corner of Wheeler and Almeda sits Green Seed Vegan‘s new restaurant. It’s only a few short blocks away from the original cabbage-green food truck where Matti Merrell and her husband Rodney Perry first got their start.

This brick-and-mortar location — repainted from the bright red of its former tenant, Red Chili Taqueria, to the same cabbage-green of the truck — represents the culmination of Merrell and Perry’s original hopes when the pair started up the food truck: to one day move into a full-fledged restaurant of their own. And as of late March, that dream has come true.

The menu has been tweaked a bit now that Green Seed has a larger kitchen: Favorites like the Tosh and the Dirty Burque are still there, but they’ve been joined by new dishes like the Big Tex Burger. There are more smoothies and dessert drinks than before, too, and a few new helpers to make sure Merrell and Perry’s food comes out quick enough to appease the diners that crowd in to eat the duo’s delicious vegan grub.
