“It all started in 1981 when Sandy Lewis opened a small jewelry storefront in Houston’s Clear Lake area. At first, Lewis Jewelers wasn’t much more than a side interest for Sandy. As she will admit, “I preferred talking to people to selling jewelry.” All that talking worked in her favor because Sandy’s emphasis on relationships over sales brought more and more people through the doors.
